Biography:
Jean Grey, a mutant with telepathic and telekinetic abilities, is arguably the most well-known host of the Phoenix Force in Marvel Comics. She first manifested her powers as a child, leading to her enrollment at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and her membership in the X-Men.
During a mission in space, Jean was exposed to lethal radiation while piloting a shuttle. To save her teammates, she absorbed the entirety of the Phoenix Force, a cosmic entity representing life and rebirth. This act transformed her into the Phoenix, granting her immense power but also making her vulnerable to corruption.
As the Phoenix, Jean's powers were magnified exponentially. She could manipulate matter at a subatomic level, warp reality, and project cosmic energy. However, her control was tenuous. The Phoenix's overwhelming power ultimately overwhelmed her, leading to the devastating "Dark Phoenix Saga," where she became a destructive force and ultimately sacrificed herself.

She has been resurrected multiple times, and various other characters have wielded the Phoenix Force, each experiencing its transformative and corrupting influence.
