Ghost Rider is the name shared by several supernatural antiheroes in Marvel Comics, each bound to a Spirit of Vengeance. The most well-known is Johnny Blaze. A motorcycle stunt performer, Johnny made a deal with the demon Mephisto to save his adoptive father’s life. The deal cursed him, transforming him into the Ghost Rider at night or in the presence of evil.

Other notable Ghost Riders include Danny Ketch, who received the power from a medallion, and Robbie Reyes, a car mechanic who was bonded to the spirit of Eli Morrow. Each Ghost Rider serves as a vessel for vengeance, punishing the guilty and protecting the innocent, often walking a fine line between hero and vigilante.
