Doctor Phosphorus, whose real name is Alexander Sartorius, is a DC Comics supervillain primarily associated with Batman. A brilliant but unstable nuclear physicist, Sartorius underwent a dangerous experimental procedure intended to cure a bone disease.

The experiment catastrophically transformed him into a living skeleton covered in glowing, phosphorescent skin. He gained the ability to generate intense heat and radiation, becoming a literal walking nuclear reactor.

Driven mad by his transformation and the pain, Sartorius adopted the moniker Doctor Phosphorus. He is often depicted attempting to use his powers for destructive purposes, posing a significant threat to Gotham City.
