Galen Marek, code-named Starkiller, was a Force-sensitive human and secret apprentice to Darth Vader. Born to Jedi Kento Marek on Kashyyyk, Galen was discovered by Vader who killed his father and took the boy as his own, raising him in the dark side.
Vader trained Starkiller in secret, grooming him as a weapon to overthrow Emperor Palpatine. He was tasked with hunting down and eliminating surviving Jedi scattered throughout the galaxy. Starkiller's power rivaled that of both Vader and Palpatine.
After a test of loyalty proved Starkiller too powerful, Vader seemingly killed him. However, Starkiller was revived and tasked with uniting the Emperor's enemies into a formal Rebellion. He successfully gathered key figures such as Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Garm Bel Iblis, solidifying the Rebel Alliance.
Ultimately, Starkiller sacrificed himself to save the Rebellion leaders, ensuring the Alliance's survival and inspiring hope throughout the galaxy. His actions were instrumental in the ultimate downfall of the Empire. His existence and role are considered non-canon.
