Mr. Terrific is the superhero identity of two different characters in DC Comics: Terry Sloane and Michael Holt. Terry Sloane, the Golden Age Mr. Terrific, debuted in 1942. A master of multiple skills and physical feats, he became a superhero out of boredom, seeking challenges beyond his already accomplished life. He fought crime motivated by a desire to help those less fortunate.

Michael Holt, the more well-known Silver Age Mr. Terrific, first appeared in 1997. Devastated by personal tragedy and considering suicide, he was inspired to become a hero. Holt possesses a genius-level intellect and is a polymath with expertise in numerous fields including medicine, engineering, martial arts, and computer science. His abilities are augmented by his T-Spheres, advanced technology that allows him to perform various functions, including invisibility, communication, and force field generation.

Both iterations of Mr. Terrific share the moniker "Fair Play" and are known for their commitment to justice and using their skills to better the world. Michael Holt is often depicted as a member of the Justice Society of America.
