Naruto

Orochimaru is a prominent antagonist in the Naruto series. He was once a prodigious ninja of Konohagakure, a student of Hiruzen Sarutobi (the Third Hokage), and a member of the legendary Sannin, alongside Jiraiya and Tsunade.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for power and knowledge, Orochimaru became obsessed with achieving immortality. His unethical experiments on human subjects led to his exile from Konoha.

After his expulsion, Orochimaru formed Otogakure (the Village Hidden in Sound) and sought to destroy Konoha as revenge. He mastered forbidden techniques, including reanimation jutsu, enabling him to resurrect the dead. He also developed methods to transfer his consciousness into new bodies, extending his lifespan.

Orochimaru's manipulative nature and pursuit of forbidden knowledge led him to betray and exploit many, including Sasuke Uchiha, whom he groomed to become his next vessel. Although originally presented as a primary villain, his role evolves, and he eventually contributes to the Allied Shinobi Forces during the Fourth Shinobi World War.
