Warren Worthington III, also known as Angel, is a mutant character from Marvel Comics. He first appeared in X-Men #1 (September 1963).
Born into a wealthy family, Warren discovered his mutant ability to grow large, feathery wings. Initially viewing his mutation as a blessing, he used his wings to fight crime as the Angel.
He was a founding member of the X-Men, fighting alongside Professor X and other mutants for peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans. Angel possesses the power of flight, enhanced strength, and sharp vision. His hollow bones also allow for prolonged time in the air.
