Henry "Hank" Aaron, born in 1934, was one of baseball's greatest players. He played primarily as an outfielder, most notably for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Aaron's career spanned from 1954 to 1976. He was renowned for his remarkable consistency and power hitting. He accumulated numerous records, including most career home runs (755), a record he held for over three decades.
Beyond home runs, Aaron excelled in other offensive categories, demonstrating all-around hitting prowess. He holds the MLB records for career RBIs (2,297), extra-base hits (1,477) and total bases (6,856).
Aaron endured racist hate mail and death threats during his pursuit of Babe Ruth's home run record. He faced this adversity with dignity and grace, becoming an icon both on and off the field. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.
