Cole Cash, better known as Grifter, is a complex character from DC Comics, originally appearing in WildStorm titles before its integration into the DC Universe proper. He's a highly skilled con artist, marksman, and martial artist.

Before becoming Grifter, Cash was a member of the U.S. military and part of a covert team led by John Lynch. During a mission, he was exposed to alien technology that granted him latent psionic abilities, primarily telekinesis and limited telepathy, although these powers are often unreliable and he usually suppresses them.

His experiences with Lynch and the I.O. organization left him disillusioned, leading him to adopt the identity of Grifter. He operates as a mercenary and often teams up with other heroes, though his morally ambiguous methods and distrustful nature frequently create friction.

Grifter is characterized by his cynical wit, combat prowess, and distinctive red mask. His skills and pragmatic approach make him a valuable, if unpredictable, asset in the fight against various threats.
