Ms. Marvel is the superhero name used by several characters in Marvel Comics, but most prominently associated with Kamala Khan. Created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, and Jamie McKelvie, Kamala first appeared in Captain Marvel #14 in August 2013.

Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City, New Jersey. She is a Muslim Inhuman with the ability to shapeshift and elongate her limbs, among other polymorphous powers. A major fangirl of Carol Danvers, the original Ms. Marvel (now Captain Marvel), Kamala took up the mantle to honor her hero.

She is a popular and critically acclaimed character, representing a significant step towards greater diversity and representation in mainstream superhero comics.
