Biography:

Selina Kyle, as portrayed in Tim Burton's 1992 film *Batman Returns*, is a mousy and downtrodden secretary working for the corrupt businessman Max Shreck.

After accidentally discovering Shreck's plans to control Gotham's power grid, Selina is pushed from a window to her apparent death. However, she is revived, seemingly by a group of alley cats, and undergoes a drastic transformation.

Adopting the persona of Catwoman, Selina crafts a distinctive, stitched-leather costume and seeks vengeance against Shreck and the patriarchal structures she perceives as responsible for her previous life. Her methods are often violent and morally ambiguous.

Catwoman forms a complex and adversarial relationship with Batman. While drawn to Bruce Wayne, her desire for liberation and vengeance puts her at odds with his more principled approach to fighting crime.

Ultimately, she confronts and seemingly defeats Max Shreck, sacrificing herself in the process. Her fate is left ambiguous, with a final shot suggesting her survival and continued activities as Catwoman.
