Finn Mertens, more commonly known as Finn the Human, is the main protagonist of the animated television series Adventure Time. He is a teenage human boy living in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo.

Finn was discovered as a baby, abandoned in the woods, and raised by Joshua and Margaret, a family of dogs. He developed a strong moral compass and a desire to help those in need, often embarking on adventures with his best friend and adoptive brother, Jake the Dog.

Finn's character arc focuses on his growth from a carefree child into a more mature and responsible young man. He grapples with issues of identity, love, loss, and the complexities of good and evil. Throughout the series, he battles monsters, rescues princesses (especially Princess Bubblegum, for whom he initially harbors romantic feelings), and strives to protect the Land of Ooo.

Voiced by Jeremy Shada, Finn represents the embodiment of heroism and selflessness. He consistently puts others before himself, even at great personal risk. His adventures are filled with humor, heart, and a profound sense of the importance of friendship and doing what is right.
