Biography:
Aldrich Killian is the primary antagonist of the film Iron Man 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Introduced as a brilliant but physically disabled scientist, he is obsessed with gaining power and recognition after being snubbed by Tony Stark in 1999.
Driven by this rejection, Killian founds Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.) and dedicates himself to perfecting Extremis, a regenerative treatment initially developed by Maya Hansen. Extremis grants superhuman abilities, including enhanced strength, speed, and regeneration, but it's also highly unstable and prone to causing fiery explosions.
Killian uses Extremis to become a powerful threat himself, capable of manipulating flames and healing from severe injuries. He masterminds a series of terrorist attacks blamed on the Mandarin, using a patsy named Trevor Slattery, to destabilize the US government and ultimately seize control, seeking revenge on Stark and proving his own superiority. He is ultimately defeated and killed by Iron Man and Pepper Potts.
