Gendry Baratheon is a prominent character in the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels. He is the bastard son of King Robert Baratheon, though unaware of his lineage for much of the series. Gendry begins as an apprentice blacksmith in King's Landing, crafting fine metalwork.

His unknown royal blood makes him a target. He flees King's Landing, joining Yoren of the Night's Watch, only to be captured by Lannister forces and then by the Brotherhood Without Banners. He later falls under the control of Melisandre, who uses his blood for dark magic.

Davos Seaworth eventually rescues Gendry, and he rejoins the fight against the White Walkers. He proves his skill as a blacksmith by forging dragonglass weapons for the army. Recognized by Daenerys Targaryen, Gendry is legitimized as Gendry Baratheon and granted the Lordship of Storm's End.

Gendry played a crucial role in the Battle of Winterfell and was a loyal supporter of Jon Snow. His actions and newfound status solidify his position as a key player in the political landscape of Westeros after the Great War.
