Greedo, a Rodian bounty hunter, is a minor but memorable character in the 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope. He is primarily known for his brief and fatal encounter with Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine.

Greedo worked for Jabba the Hutt, attempting to collect a debt that Han owed the crime lord. He ambushes Han in the cantina, holding him at gunpoint. The scene culminates in a confrontation where either Han shoots first (the original theatrical release) or Han and Greedo shoot simultaneously (the later "Special Edition" versions), resulting in Greedo's death.

While his screen time is limited, Greedo's appearance and the controversy surrounding the "Han shot first" debate have cemented his place in Star Wars lore and popular culture. He is often cited as an example of the alterations made to the original trilogy over the years.
