Ronin is a character in the LEGO Ninjago franchise, primarily known as a thief and information broker.
He first appears in the Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin video game, where he is introduced as an amnesiac searching for his lost memories. This search leads him to possess the Obsidian Glaive, a powerful weapon capable of stealing ninja abilities.
Initially portrayed as an antagonist, Ronin's motivations are ultimately driven by self-preservation and profit. He often aligns himself with whoever benefits him most in the short term, switching sides between the ninja and various villains as needed.
Later appearances show him developing a more complex relationship with the ninja, occasionally assisting them in their battles, although his motives remain primarily self-serving.
