Biography:

Spartan, also known as Marcus Cole, is the protagonist of the sci-fi action film Gamer. He's portrayed by Gerard Butler.

Cole is a death row inmate forced to participate in "Slayers," a real-life video game where players remotely control convicts in brutal combat. He was framed for a crime he didn't commit – the alleged murder of his wife and child.

Within the Slayers arena, Cole is controlled by Simon Silverton, a teenage gamer. Spartan becomes the top-ranked "character" in the game, making him a valuable asset to the game's creator, Ken Castle.

Throughout the film, Spartan fights for his freedom and aims to expose Castle's manipulative and corrupt system. He discovers his wife is alive and a participant in another game Castle created, further fueling his resolve.

Ultimately, Spartan overcomes immense odds and exposes Castle's nefarious activities, clearing his name and reuniting with his family.
