Lord Garmadon is a central antagonist in the LEGO Ninjago universe, particularly prominent in the early seasons focused on the Golden Weapons. He is the elder brother of Wu, and the son of the First Spinjitzu Master. His past involved being bitten by the Great Devourer as a child, leading to the corruption of his heart and gradual transformation into an embodiment of evil.

Driven by an insatiable lust for power, Garmadon initially sought to claim the four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu – the Sword of Fire, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Scythe of Quakes, and the Shurikens of Ice – to reshape Ninjago in his image. He commanded an army of skeletons from the Underworld to achieve his goals, constantly battling his brother and the ninja team.

While often portrayed as a purely malevolent force, Garmadon's storyline is marked by moments hinting at a lingering goodness buried beneath the darkness. His transformation and actions are ultimately the tragic consequence of external corruption, hinting at a potential for redemption that is later explored more fully as the series progresses. His son is Lloyd Garmadon.
