Michelangelo, often shortened to Mikey, is one of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is easily distinguished by his orange mask and preferred weapon, the nunchaku.
Like his brothers, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael, Michelangelo was mutated into a humanoid turtle by exposure to mutagenic ooze. He was raised and trained in the art of ninjutsu by their adoptive father, Master Splinter, a mutated rat.
Michelangelo is generally depicted as the most lighthearted and jovial of the Turtles. He is known for his love of pizza and his catchphrases, such as "Cowabunga!" He often serves as the comic relief for the team, despite actively participating in their crime-fighting endeavors.
Despite his seemingly carefree attitude, Michelangelo is a skilled fighter and a loyal member of the team, always ready to defend his brothers and the city of New York from various threats.
