Anaconda, whose real name is Blanche Sitznski, is a Marvel Comics supervillain. She gained her powers through genetic augmentation by the Roxxon Oil Company, transforming her into a formidable foe.

Her primary ability is the possession of bionic arms that can extend to great lengths and constrict with incredible force, mimicking the movements and power of a snake. These arms are also incredibly strong and durable.

Anaconda is often associated with the Serpent Society, a group of snake-themed villains, where she served as a powerful enforcer. She has also worked with other villainous teams, frequently for mercenary purposes. She is primarily a foe of Captain America, and various other heroes, particularly those affiliated with the Avengers and the X-Men.

Initially portrayed as purely villainous, later stories have explored aspects of her personal life and motivations, adding depth to her character and occasionally depicting her in more sympathetic roles, although her core allegiance generally lies with her self-interests and whoever offers the most lucrative contract.
