Biography:
Black Panther is a mantle held by multiple characters in Marvel Comics. While most famously associated with T'Challa, the King of Wakanda, there have been other individuals who assumed the identity, including a character with white skin.
Specifically, Kevin "Kasper" Cole, a biracial New York City police officer, briefly took on the Black Panther mantle. Finding a discarded Panther habit and weaponry, Cole used the suit to fight crime in his neighborhood, unbeknownst to T'Challa. He was initially motivated by personal gain and a desire to gain an advantage within the police force.
T'Challa eventually learned of Cole's actions and confronted him. Initially displeased, T'Challa recognized Cole's good intentions, albeit flawed execution. He provided Cole with a synthetic version of the Super-Soldier Serum and training, allowing him to become a hero known as White Tiger, distinct from the traditional Black Panther role. Cole later adopted the name The Crew.
