Draco Malfoy, a character within the Harry Potter series, notably played Quidditch for the Slytherin house team. He primarily filled the role of Seeker, a position involving the pursuit and capture of the Golden Snitch to score points and end the game.

Malfoy's entry onto the Slytherin team was facilitated by his father, Lucius Malfoy, who purchased expensive Nimbus 2001 broomsticks for the entire team. This act demonstrated the Malfoy family's wealth and influence, giving the Slytherin team a perceived advantage. Although a capable flyer, Draco's position was arguably obtained through nepotism rather than pure skill.
