Biography:
Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham, is an alternate reality version of Spider-Man originating from Earth-8311, a universe populated by anthropomorphic animals. He was created by Tom DeFalco and Mark Armstrong, debuting in 1983's Marvel Tails Starring Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham #1.
Porker wasn't initially a pig, but rather a spider who lived in the basement lab of May Porker, a slightly eccentric pig scientist. May, attempting to invent a device to make people kinder, accidentally irradiated herself. She then bit the spider, transforming him into an anthropomorphic pig with spider-powers.
Endowed with the abilities of Spider-Man, including proportional strength, agility, and the ability to spin webs (albeit organic ones), Peter Porker took on the mantle of Spider-Ham. He combats various animalistic versions of classic Spider-Man villains, such as Ducktor Doom and the Swinester Six. While primarily comedic, Spider-Ham's stories often touch on themes of responsibility and heroism, much like his 616 counterpart.
