Rocket, designated subject 89P13, is a genetically and cybernetically enhanced raccoon originating from Halfworld in the Keystone Quadrant. Originally an animal experimented on by the robotic toymaker, Rocket was given human-level intelligence, bipedal posture, and a penchant for mechanics and weapons.
Before the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Rocket worked as a bounty hunter and mercenary, frequently partnered with the sentient tree-like being, Groot. They eventually joined forces with Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, and later Mantis, forming the Guardians of the Galaxy. They work together to protect the galaxy.
In Avengers: Endgame, Rocket is one of the few Guardians to survive Thanos' snap. He joins the remaining Avengers in their mission to undo the Decimation. He plays a key role in locating Thor and subsequently participates in the time heist, retrieving the Reality Stone to restore those lost.
Following the final battle against Thanos, Rocket continues his adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy, continuing to act as the team's tactician and weapons expert.
