Biography:

Teen Groot, a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Comics, is a humanoid tree-like being descended from the original Groot. He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This version of Groot emerged from a sapling grown from a twig of the original Groot, who sacrificed himself to save his teammates. As Teen Groot, he displays characteristics of adolescence, including moodiness, disinterest, and a preoccupation with video games and electronics.

He retains Groot's signature phrase, "I am Groot," but his inflection and delivery reflect his teenage attitude. Although often seeming detached, Teen Groot is still fiercely loyal to his friends and capable of great bravery when necessary. He matures physically during the Blip.
