Biography:
Robert Baratheon was the King of the Seven Kingdoms, ruling from his rebellion against the Targaryen dynasty until his death. He was known for his charismatic personality, prowess in battle, and love of feasting and women.
Prior to becoming king, Robert was the Lord of Storm's End and head of House Baratheon. His betrothed, Lyanna Stark, was allegedly kidnapped by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, sparking Robert's Rebellion. This conflict saw him lead the rebellion forces to victory, overthrowing Aerys II Targaryen, the Mad King.
Robert's reign was marked by relative peace but also by increasing debt and political intrigue at court. He married Cersei Lannister of House Lannister, securing an alliance but leading to a loveless and contentious marriage. He fathered numerous bastards throughout the realm, most notably Gendry.
Robert's death, caused by a boar hunting accident, plunged the realm into a war of succession. His legitimate heir, Joffrey, was challenged by Robert's brothers, Stannis and Renly, leading to the events known as the War of the Five Kings.
