Illidan Stormrage is a prominent character in the Warcraft universe, primarily featured in Blizzard Entertainment's video games. He is a night elf born millennia before the events of World of Warcraft.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for power to combat the Burning Legion, Illidan made controversial decisions, often blurring the lines between hero and villain. He absorbed the power of the Skull of Gul'dan, transforming into a demon and gaining immense strength but sacrificing much of his elven form and being branded an outcast.

Exiled by his brother, Malfurion, for his dangerous use of magic, Illidan served Kil'jaeden, a powerful demon lord, tasked with destroying the Lich King. Failing in this mission, he fled to Outland, a shattered world, where he established himself as a powerful warlord.

He was ultimately defeated by adventurers aided by Maiev Shadowsong within the Black Temple in Outland. Years later, he was resurrected and became a central figure in the Legion expansion, fulfilling his destiny as a champion against the Burning Legion, though his methods remained morally ambiguous. He is often remembered for his iconic phrase: "You are not prepared!"
