Biography:
Charles Lee Ray, more commonly known as Chucky, is a fictional character and the central antagonist of the Child's Play slasher film franchise. He is a serial killer who, facing imminent death, uses a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into a "Good Guy" doll.
The Chucky doll, now possessed by Ray's murderous spirit, retains the killer's personality, including his penchant for foul language, sadistic humor, and extreme violence. His primary goal is to escape the doll body and transfer his soul into a human host, preferably Andy Barclay, the young boy who originally owned the doll.
Over the course of numerous films and a television series, Chucky evolves from a frightening slasher icon to a darkly comedic anti-hero, often interacting with other possessed dolls and wreaking havoc on unsuspecting victims. He is voiced primarily by Brad Dourif, whose performance has become synonymous with the character.
