Thanos, as portrayed in Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame, is a powerful cosmic being driven by a singular, unwavering conviction: the universe is inherently imbalanced, and its resources are finite, leading to inevitable suffering and extinction.
Born on the planet Titan, Thanos witnessed his home world's demise due to overpopulation and resource depletion. This catastrophic event instilled in him the belief that culling half of all life in the universe was a necessary act of mercy and salvation.
He embarked on a quest to acquire the six Infinity Stones, possessing immense power individually and collectively granting the wielder omnipotence when combined in the Infinity Gauntlet.
