Biography:
Jack Skellington, a prominent figure in Halloween Town, is the protagonist of Tim Burton's animated film, The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Known as the "Pumpkin King," Jack is revered for his talent in orchestrating Halloween celebrations.
Restless and feeling unfulfilled despite his success, Jack stumbles upon Christmas Town and becomes captivated by the holiday's warmth and cheer. Misunderstanding the true meaning of Christmas, he decides to take over Santa Claus's role, believing he can improve the holiday.
He orders the citizens of Halloween Town to create macabre versions of Christmas decorations and toys. He renames himself "Sandy Claws" and attempts to deliver the terrifying gifts around the world. His efforts are met with widespread fear and confusion, and he's eventually shot down by the military.
Realizing his mistake, Jack rescues Santa Claus from Oogie Boogie, who had been hired to help, and helps him restore Christmas. He returns to Halloween Town with a newfound appreciation for his own holiday and a better understanding of the distinct joys of Christmas.
