The MS-06F2 Zaku II F2 Type is a mobile suit featured prominently in the Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory OVA series.
Developed by the Principality of Zeon, the Zaku II F2 is an upgraded and improved version of the original MS-06F Zaku II. It was designed to address the performance deficiencies of the older model and standardize Zeon's mobile suit forces towards the end of the One Year War. While never replacing the older version in total, it served as a modern and efficient mobile suit.
The F2 boasts improved thrusters, internal generator output, and an enhanced armor. It is easily recognizable by its reinforced armor plating and additional thruster ports. The Zaku II F2 is depicted being used by both remnants of the Zeon forces and the Earth Federation Forces (in captured form), during the Delaz Fleet insurrection and the events of 0083.
As an upgrade, it had more internal weapon mounts, and could be refitted and re-equipped with a variety of weapons, including machine guns, bazookas, and heat hawks, adapting it for a range of combat roles.
