Finn, designated FN-2187, is a former stormtrooper of the First Order who defected and joined the Resistance. Born and raised in the First Order's training facilities, Finn was conditioned from a young age to be a soldier, devoid of personal connections or independent thought.

During his first combat mission on Jakku, Finn witnessed the brutality of the First Order, leading to a crisis of conscience. He ultimately made the courageous decision to abandon his post and free the captured Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. This act marked the beginning of his journey towards self-discovery and fighting for what he believed was right.

Initially motivated by survival and escape, Finn gradually embraced the Resistance's cause, becoming a valuable asset in their fight against the First Order. He demonstrated bravery, resourcefulness, and a growing understanding of the Force. Though initially unsure of his place in the galaxy, Finn ultimately found his purpose as a defender of freedom and a member of the Resistance family.
