Gwendolyne "Gwen" Stacy, also known as Spider-Gwen or Ghost-Spider, is a Marvel Comics superheroine originating from an alternate universe designated Earth-65. In this reality, it was Gwen Stacy, not Peter Parker, who was bitten by a radioactive spider, granting her superhuman abilities.

As Spider-Woman, Gwen possesses powers mirroring Spider-Man's, including enhanced strength, agility, the ability to cling to surfaces, and a "spider-sense" for danger. She initially created web-shooters with help from her scientist father, George Stacy.

Tragically, Gwen's superheroic activities led to the accidental death of her friend, Peter Parker, who attempted to emulate her powers. The event fueled public animosity towards Spider-Woman and created a rift between her and her father, who was a police captain investigating Spider-Woman.

Gwen's identity remained largely unknown until later revealed. She has since become a popular character, appearing in numerous comic book series, animated shows, and the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld. She often crosses over into other realities, teaming up with or fighting alongside other Spider-People.
