Joe Exotic, born Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (formerly Schreibvogel) on March 5, 1963, is an American former zookeeper, businessman, and convicted felon. He gained notoriety as the owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Exotic cultivated a flamboyant public persona, marked by his eccentric appearance, multiple failed political campaigns (including a run for President in 2016 and Governor of Oklahoma in 2018), and a career in country music.
