Cindy Moon, also known as Silk, is a Korean-American superheroine in the Marvel Universe. She was bitten by the same radioactive spider that granted Peter Parker his abilities, but was immediately taken into hiding by Ezekiel Sims to protect her from Morlun, a vampiric hunter of Spider-Totems.
For ten years, Cindy lived in a secure bunker, honing her powers in isolation. After Peter Parker learned of her existence, he freed her, leading to a complex and often complicated relationship. Their shared spider-sense creates a strong attraction, often proving distracting.
Silk possesses similar powers to Spider-Man, including enhanced strength, agility, and a spider-sense, though hers is more potent than Peter's. She also has organic webbing that shoots from her fingertips, a photographic memory, and advanced stealth capabilities. She has operated as a hero independently and alongside other teams, often grappling with the trauma of her isolation and the dangers of her newfound freedom.
