Biography:
Griphook is a goblin who works at Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the main bank in the wizarding world. He is first introduced in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone where he escorts Harry Potter and Hagrid to Harry's vault.

Griphook possesses a stereotypical goblin personality. He is shrewd, distrustful of wizards, and highly values goblin traditions concerning ownership and craftsmanship, particularly of items they have forged.

He plays a significant role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. After being rescued by Harry, Ron, and Hermione, he reluctantly agrees to help them break into the Lestrange vault at Gringotts in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor.

His motives are primarily self-serving; Griphook believes the sword rightfully belongs to the goblins. Ultimately, Griphook betrays the trio after gaining access to the vault, leading to a perilous escape. He dies during the aftermath of their escape from Gringotts.
