Ginevra "Ginny" Weasley is the youngest of the seven Weasley siblings and the only daughter born to Arthur and Molly Weasley. She is a witch and attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, sorted into Gryffindor house. Her journey begins tentatively, overshadowed by her brothers, especially after a traumatic first year where she is possessed by Lord Voldemort through Tom Riddle's diary.

Ginny blossoms into a confident and popular young woman. She is known for her fiery personality, Quidditch skills, playing as a Chaser for the Gryffindor team, and eventually becoming a professional Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies. She is also a member of Dumbledore's Army, showcasing her bravery and magical abilities in the fight against Voldemort.

Ginny's resilience and strength are evident throughout the series. She develops a romantic relationship with Harry Potter, which deepens throughout their time at Hogwarts. Ultimately, she becomes Harry Potter's wife and they have three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna Potter.
