Chaos Zero is a major antagonist in the 1999 video game, Sonic Adventure. It is an immortal, liquid-like creature composed of Chaos energy, serving as the primary source of power for the Master Emerald.
Originally a gentle guardian of the Chao and the Master Emerald, Chaos absorbed negative energy over centuries, slowly transforming into a destructive being. This corruption was triggered by the Echidna tribe's attempt to steal the Emeralds.
Dr. Eggman discovers and exploits Chaos, feeding it Chaos Emeralds to accelerate its transformation into Perfect Chaos. Eggman intends to use Chaos' power to destroy Station Square and build his Eggmanland empire.
As Chaos absorbs Emeralds, its form grows and its power increases. It evolves through several stages, each more powerful than the last. Finally, it reaches Perfect Chaos, a colossal, water-based form, capable of immense destruction.
Ultimately, Chaos is defeated by Super Sonic, who uses the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds to purify Chaos and restore it to its original, peaceful state. After the battle, Chaos returns to its role as guardian of the Chao.
