Biography:
Tracy McGrady, often referred to as "T-Mac," is a retired American professional basketball player renowned for his scoring prowess and athleticism.
Born May 24, 1979, in Bartow, Florida, McGrady entered the NBA directly from high school in 1997, selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors. He initially played alongside his cousin, Vince Carter.
McGrady's career reached its peak with the Orlando Magic (2000-2004) where he earned back-to-back NBA scoring titles in 2003 and 2004. He later played for the Houston Rockets with Yao Ming, but injuries plagued his time there.
He also had stints with the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, and San Antonio Spurs. McGrady retired from the NBA in 2013 after a brief period playing in China.
A seven-time NBA All-Star and seven-time All-NBA selection, McGrady was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.
