Daimon Hellstrom, also known as the Son of Satan, is a complex character in the Marvel Universe. He is the offspring of a human woman, Victoria Wingate, and the demon Marduk Kurios, who posed as Satan. This parentage imbues Daimon with supernatural abilities.
Raised largely by his mother, Daimon learned of his lineage and demonic heritage only later in life. He initially sought to reject his father's legacy, becoming an occult investigator and exorcist, wielding a trident forged from netheranium, a Satanium alloy found only in Hell. He fights against demonic forces.
Despite his heroic efforts, Daimon battles with the inherent darkness within him. He has both used and struggled against his demonic powers, creating internal conflict. He is associated with various mystical teams, including the Defenders and the Midnight Sons. He has at times attempted to use Hellstrom to describe himself, however is referred to as Daimon.
He is often portrayed as an anti-hero, walking a fine line between good and evil, haunted by his destiny and the potential for corruption. Daimon's character explores themes of inherited evil, redemption, and the struggle against one's own nature.
