G.I. Joe

Storm Shadow, also known as Thomas S. Arashikage, is a prominent character in the G.I. Joe franchise. He is a highly skilled ninja and a complex figure, often depicted as torn between his loyalty to the Arashikage ninja clan and his relationship with Snake Eyes.

He and Snake Eyes were brothers in arms and rivals within the Arashikage clan. Tragedy struck when the Hard Master, head of the clan and Storm Shadow's uncle, was murdered. Storm Shadow was framed and driven from the clan.

Initially, Storm Shadow joined Cobra, becoming a member of Cobra Commander's personal guard and a highly effective assassin. His motivations were often shrouded in mystery, with some believing he sought revenge or was working as a double agent. He uses a katana, shurikens, and other ninja weaponry.

Eventually, Storm Shadow's innocence in the Hard Master's murder was revealed, and he sought redemption. He has worked alongside G.I. Joe at times, using his skills to fight against Cobra and protect innocent lives, particularly standing with Snake Eyes.
