Keldor is a pivotal character in the He-Man universe, primarily known as the pre-transformation identity of Skeletor, He-Man's arch-nemesis.
Before his skeletal appearance, Keldor was Prince Keldor, a half-Gar, half-human royal. His paternal lineage was from the Gar, a race with blue skin, originating from the dark hemisphere.
Keldor was the half-brother of King Randor, making him He-Man's uncle. Driven by a desire for power, he sought to usurp the throne of Eternia. His ambitions led him to betray his family and wage war against the kingdom.
During a final confrontation with Randor near the Mystic Wall, Keldor was severely injured by a vial of acid or a magical reflection (the exact details vary across different media). This injury drastically altered his appearance, leaving him with a skull-like face and transforming him into Skeletor.
As Skeletor, he retained his ambition and hatred, continuing his relentless pursuit of power and the secrets of Castle Grayskull, forever opposing He-Man and the forces of good.
