Beetle is a recurring villainous persona in Marvel Comics, often associated with Spider-Man and other heroes.

The original Beetle was Abner Jenkins, a former aircraft mechanic who built an armored suit to achieve fame and fortune as a costumed criminal. This initial version established the Beetle's primary characteristics: enhanced strength, flight capabilities, and durable armor.

Over the years, several other characters have adopted the Beetle identity, each with their own variations on the armor and motives. These include Leila Davis (briefly), and notably, Janice Lincoln, the daughter of Tombstone. Janice revitalized the Beetle name and became a prominent member of the Sinister Syndicate.

Regardless of who wears the armor, the Beetle is typically depicted as a cunning and technologically adept opponent, often working as a mercenary or joining villainous teams to achieve their goals.
