Nezuko Kamado is a prominent character in the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is the younger sister of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado.

Initially a human, Nezuko was transformed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji, the primary antagonist of the series. Unlike most demons, Nezuko retains a degree of her human consciousness and emotions. She does not crave human flesh and instead derives energy from sleep.

To prevent her from harming others, Nezuko wears a bamboo muzzle given to her by Giyu Tomioka, a Demon Slayer. She is carried in a wooden box on Tanjiro's back as he travels the world seeking a cure for her condition and hunting down Muzan.

Nezuko possesses unique demon abilities, including enhanced strength, regeneration, and the ability to manipulate her blood to create flames. Throughout the series, she fiercely protects Tanjiro and others from demonic threats, demonstrating unwavering loyalty and resilience despite her transformation.
