Biography:
Gorr the God Butcher is a Marvel Comics supervillain, primarily known as an antagonist of Thor. His origins lie on a nameless, barren planet where he witnessed the deaths of his parents, wife, and children, leading him to lose faith in the gods.
Discovering two warring deities, one good and one corrupt, Gorr seized the powerful, sentient weapon known as All-Black the Necrosword. This weapon, originally created by Knull, the god of symbiotes, granted Gorr immense power and the ability to create dark constructs.
Fueled by his hatred and a desire to avenge his suffering, Gorr embarked on a galaxy-spanning campaign to systematically kill all gods. He believed that the gods were selfish, cruel, and undeserving of worship, having failed to answer the prayers of those in need.
His god-slaying crusade brought him into direct conflict with Thor, leading to multiple epic battles across time and space. Gorr's power, derived from the Necrosword, made him a formidable opponent, pushing Thor to his limits on numerous occasions.
