Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz, commonly known as Luis Suárez, is a Uruguayan professional footballer. Born on January 24, 1987, in Salto, Uruguay, he is widely regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation.
Suárez began his professional career with Nacional in Uruguay before moving to Europe to play for Groningen and then Ajax in the Netherlands. His prolific goal-scoring record earned him a transfer to Liverpool in 2011.
