Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Lu Xun, also known as Lu Yi, was a prominent military general and strategist serving under the state of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. Born in 183 AD, he initially gained recognition for his administrative capabilities and was later appointed to important military positions.

His most significant accomplishment was his command during the Battle of Xiaoting (also known as the Battle of Yiling) in 222 AD. Leading Wu forces against a massive invasion led by Liu Bei of Shu Han, Lu Xun successfully defended Wu's territory through a carefully planned defensive strategy. He lured the Shu army deep into Wu territory and then unleashed a devastating fire attack, inflicting a crushing defeat on Liu Bei.

Following this victory, Lu Xun continued to serve Wu with distinction, holding key positions in the military and government. He was known for his intelligence, strategic thinking, and ability to lead and inspire troops. Lu Xun died in 245 AD, leaving behind a legacy as one of Wu's most capable and respected figures.
