Teth-Adam, also known as Black Adam, is a powerful metahuman being within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). He originated millennia ago in Kahndaq as a slave, bestowed with incredible powers by the ancient wizards. Initially chosen to be a champion of his people, Adam's methods became increasingly brutal, leading to his imprisonment for 5,000 years.
Upon his reawakening in modern Kahndaq, Black Adam finds the nation oppressed by Intergang. He resumes his role as protector, dispensing harsh justice and challenging the established order. His immense power set includes superhuman strength, speed, flight, and the ability to manipulate lightning. Adam is largely driven by a fierce love for Kahndaq and a willingness to use lethal force to defend it.
Black Adam's uncompromising nature and lack of regard for traditional heroic ideals put him at odds with the Justice Society of America, leading to conflict. Ultimately, he carves out his own path, vowing to defend Kahndaq on his own terms, highlighting the complex morality inherent in his character and blurring the lines between hero and villain.
