Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He is primarily known as a nemesis of Doctor Strange, possessing considerable magical abilities.
Mordo initially served as a student under the Ancient One, the same sorcerer who mentored Doctor Strange. Consumed by ambition and jealousy, Mordo plotted to usurp the Ancient One's position. His treacherous intentions were discovered by Strange, who alerted the Ancient One, leading to Mordo's banishment.
Following his expulsion, Mordo dedicated himself to mastering dark magic and amassing power. He frequently clashes with Doctor Strange, employing spells and supernatural entities in attempts to destroy his rival and conquer the mystic arts.
