Yellowjacket is an alias used by multiple characters in Marvel Comics, most notably Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym. A brilliant scientist, Pym discovered "Pym Particles," which allow him to alter his size, shrinking down to microscopic levels or growing to enormous heights.
Driven by mental instability, Pym adopted the Yellowjacket identity, becoming a more aggressive and unpredictable character. This persona was often characterized by a distinctive yellow and black costume equipped with bio-stings, projectile weapons that delivered electric shocks.
As Yellowjacket, Pym played a complex role within the Avengers, oscillating between heroic acts and periods of erratic and even abusive behavior.
